INITIAL EXAM

We go through assessing the major concern and what has been causing this to come up with a treatment plan just for you. The initial visit includes postural screening, orthopedic and neurological testing. After that, we move into a personalized rehab program and focused adjustment to help get you moving better. Rehab homework is usually provided to assist me in helping you maintain a new and healthier life style.

SPINAL ADJUSTMENT

We offer advanced chiropractic services and techniques to children and adults aimed at restoring joint function. Chiropractic manipulation is a proven, safe and effective way to improve musculoskeletal conditions. Through adjustments we can improve joint mechanics and overall functionality.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE TECHNIQUE

Muscle tissue can often become tight or stiff in some areas of over use. Normal muscle tissue should feel pliable and elastic. A pressure is held on the areas where rigidness is found and then released when the muscle tissue loosens. Dr. Bell, then aids the tissue and supportive sheath in releasing pressure and tightness. The process is repeated multiple times on the same trigger point and on other trigger points until the tension is fully released.

INSTRUMENT ASSISTED SOFT TISSUE MOBILIZATION

Many soft tissue injuries will result in an increased build up of scar tissue, adhesions, and possible lack of blood flow. If you are familiar with the gua-sha technique, this is almost identical. Dr. Bell is certified in FAKTR (Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab). This technique is used to promote healing by breaking down scar tissue and adhesions, increase blood flow and improve soft tissue function. Tool used is surgical steel with bevelled edges.

CUPPING

This got its popularity with famous olympians such as Michael Phelps when he showed up for his swim meet with circular bruises all over his neck and back. Cupping has actually been used for thousands of years as a means of relaxation and to help speed recovery after injury to muscle. It consists of a negative pressure lifting and separating the fascia and tissue, creating a release and visibly added benefits with regards to recovery and performance.

     TAPING

Kinesio-tape is also famous amongst the athletic community. KT can be used for a wide variety of purposes. This includes: improved athletic performance, reduced pain, reduced swelling and speeding up the healing process all while providing mobile-support.
